Congratulations Michael Steele

I want to use this time on this blog to congratulate Michael Steele on his election to be Chairman of the Republican National Committee. I was an early supporter of his for a lot of reasons mainly because the Republican Party was asleep at the switch. I watch a lot of news (Fox News mostly) and I never saw Mr. Duncan (I only recently found out who was Chairman of the RNC) on any news program not even Meet the Press. Michael Steele was always on news programs putting forth the republican message.

The Chairman has a few real issues he needs to stick to repeatedly for the next two years. Ronald Reagan, the father of the conservative movement, ran on and governed on small but important principles. Newt Gingrich stuck to a few principles, the contract with America notwithstanding, had in it a limited number of policies. The Contract may have had a lot of numbers, but the principles were small; limit the size of government (Ronald Reagan), make the government work better, and make the Congress live under the same rules and laws that they impose on to us. Ronald Reagan governed on the reduction of taxes for people and business (increased revenue to the government), rebuild the military to a size big enough to defeat the Soviet Union (Berlin Wall fell in 1989), and reinvigorate the American experience. Former President Reagan loved this country and knew the spirit of America was alive in all of us. He believed that the ROLE of Government was to get roadblocks out of our way so the entrepreneurial spirit can work. These are the topics I believe Mr. Steele needs to stick to.

I am here to do my part in my small neck of the woods. In my community we have lost all sense of what is right and proper. I will be more active in pushing the things that I believe is at the heart of our party and what makes a civilized society. I will try to take Mike Huckabee started with the topic of life. The institution of abortion and euthanasia must stop (more on that later). The way to start is to insinuate myself into local republican party politics, support candidates for school boards, and end the stranglehold that the democrats have on the office of  mayor. Start a tv station that will rival RNN.

As I stated in the beginning, I am here for Chairman Steele. I can’t wait for the liberals to call the election of Mr. Steele as a cynical attempt to attract the African-Americans away from the Democratic Party. The same way they tried to derail Sarah Palin’s nomination as Vice-Presidential candidate. I will be waiting with bated breath.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!GO MICHAEL STEELE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
